What's Happening?

Sometimes your Zgemma box is fully connected to the internet and your VPN is running — but channels still refuse to load. This is often caused by the DNS (Domain Name Server) settings your box is using.

Changing to a well-known public DNS like Google or Cloudflare resolves this in most cases and takes less than 5 minutes.

ℹ️ Before making any changes, check your LAN connection on the settings screen. It should show a green tick ✅ confirming your box is connected. If there's no green tick, the issue is your internet connection, not the DNS.

DNS Options

Try either of these — both are free, fast and reliable. Start with Google, and if it doesn't help switch to Cloudflare.

Most widely used

Primary DNS
8.8.8.8
Secondary DNS
8.8.4.4

Cloudflare DNS

Fastest public DNS

10

Exit back to the Home screen

This is the black screen or logo screen.

After Saving

Once you've saved the new DNS settings, try one of the following to apply them:

A

Run the Speed Test on the box to confirm the connection is working

B

Reset the box and test the channel connection after it reboots

A full reboot ensures the new DNS settings are fully applied.
💡 If Google DNS doesn't fix the issue, go back and try Cloudflare (1.1.1.1 / 1.0.0.1) — different setups respond differently to each provider.
🎉 In most cases this fix resolves channel loading issues immediately. If channels are still not loading after trying both DNS options, the issue may be with your subscription or VPN — check those next.
